Pupils work on developing performing, composing and listening skills during their music lesson. We are very lucky at Victoria Primary School to have such a fantastic range of instruments to work with.

Pupils learn basic rhythms using untuned percussion.  As performing skills develop pupils learn how to play ukulele, glockenspiel and guitar.  Pupils are encouraged to be creative and imaginative during composing lessons.  Group work is encouraged and confidence is one of the main skills developed in the music lesson.  Pupils are exposed to many different styles of music and are encouraged to listen to music outside of school to help further their knowledge.

VPS also have a choir which run on a Thursday lunchtime in the P1 play area from 12.45pm – 1.10pm.  This is open to all P5 – P7 pupils.
