Victoria Nursery Class

Children’s learning begins long before they reach nursery age. Our role in the nursery is to build on the learning which has already begun at home and continue as a partnership of home and nursery. For this to be successful we need to work together.  We recognise and appreciate the value of parents as the prime educators of their children and we hope to support parents in this role.  We are more than happy to talk with you at any time about any aspect of nursery life.  By working together, we aim to ensure that your child finds nursery an enjoyable, safe and happy place to learn and develop his / her skills for life.

We operate during school term time and are open Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and staff training in-service days.

Victoria Nursery Class are part of Falkirk Council’s pilot to trial different ways to accommodate children attending nursery.  As part of this pilot we offer flexible attendance patterns for all of our nursery children.  This means that parents/carers can choose the best way to use the allocated 15hrs and 50mins of nursery time throughout the week; our only stipulation is that the attendance pattern you choose remains the same every week.  Therefore our nursery is open from 8.30am until 3.40pm.  If you wish to discuss this new flexible approach further then please contact Mrs Todd on 01324 508600.

Children who attend over lunchtime are also provided with a free school meal.

Twitter is a fabulous way to communicate all the fabulous learning experiences our nursery pupils engage in and lead whilst in our setting.  Please have a look at our Twitter page for all our up-to-date information and activities: @victorianurclas
